Building organisation design capability in a global hospitality company
The challenge
The new CHRO of a global hospitality giant recognised the need to build capability in organisation design and change and created a new function to drive this agenda. They asked Change Associates to help establish the new team and support the delivery of organisation change projects.
What we did
We worked with the new team to establish their purpose, strategy, accountabilities, culture and priorities and ensure these were ratified by leadership. We developed an organisation design approach for the global organisation and built an OD toolkit to support practitioners.
We assessed the capability of practitioners and engaged them in an ongoing series of workshops to share best practice, build capability, and test new approaches and tools.
We tested and developed the new approach and the toolkit by applying it to a strategic organisation design project involving a change in the global operating model.
The result
- The new team has a purpose to drive best practice, build capability, use data, and provide expertise in organisation design and change
- Practitioners are using the new approach to deliver organisation change
- The business has a clear plan of action to drive further improvements
- Change Associates continues to provide advisory and delivery support
